The Bluffton Police Department is committed to providing professional police services to residents, visitors and businesses within the Town of Bluffton. The department currently employs 56 sworn police officers and 10 civilians, eight chaplains, 8 volunteers as well as one reserve police officer.
The department, headed by Chief Stephenie Price, has many resources and specialized personnel at its disposal. The Bluffton Police Department has accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation Inc. also recognizes the department.
