About the Festival:
The town of Bluffton kicks off spring with a festival that has become the talk of the town – Mayfest! From humble beginnings in 1978, Babbie Guscio, the man who started Bluffton’s The Store, originated the Bluffton Village Festival. He wanted to expose the children of the Town of Bluffton to a variety of art and new cultures. Mayfest has grown into a mega-event that attracts visitors from all over the region.
With live music performances that will get you dancing, local delicacies that will excite your taste buds, and endless arts and crafts vendors, there’s something for everyone at Mayfest. Though it has evolved over the years, the festival’s heart still beats with the same sense of community and fun that it started with, firmly entrenching Mayfest as a beloved Bluffton tradition.
Bluffton Mayfest takes place on May 13th, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Historic Downtown Bluffton. Most events will be held at Martin Family Park, Dubois Park, the Heyward House and Bridge Street. Free parking for the event will be at Red Cedar Elementary School. Admission is free for all.
