Bluffton, SC is my home.

It’s where I play music, it’s where my daughters go to school. It’s a May River thang! Has it changed a lot since I went to middle school here? Sure, it’s blown up! We used to play a place called “Stoli’s” back in the late 90’s a lot. There really wasn’t anywhere else to play. Of course, once V55 and The Dispensary opened up, we started playing those places as well as a long time residence at Corks when Josh and Gabby owned it. You can nowadays find me with Gary Pratt playing Captain Woody’s upstairs on Thursday nights, year round and Lowcountry Boil plays Calhouns on Sundays for brunch in the fall and springtime.
What have we been up to musically?
Lowcountry Boil put out a live album a couple years ago. I just happen to have the link here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC33Kv1aHbCB2VXUaEjfW2OQ. We recorded this album at gigs actually at Palmetto Bluff! Super fun songs by Andy Pitts ,Gary, my dad and myself….I’m sure you have a few favies….Also since i started to some fun stuff with CH2 Magazine we have done 2 full length music videos…..MAY RIVER THANG is a song i wrote to play at Capt Woody’s to go along with “Drunk on Daufuskie.” Here’s another link to hear it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aqBStesgnA.
Also you can’t forget “Sharks Are Our Homies.”
Yep, you can listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5uqs_t1hG0. It’s a super-fun little tune I wrote for my kids show in Coligny Plaza on Hilton Head Island.
Hopefully you will check out some music or just say hi when i see you at Kroger or Mellow Mushroom, two of my favorite places in Bluffton….or Amigos or Fiesta Fresh. Big shout out to my friend Paul Tollefson for the stuff he has been writing about the local Bluffton lore….you can find him on Facebook.
See you guys at Woodys on Thursdays 6-9 p.m. almost every week of the year!
