Bluffton, SC, started as a planter’s summer retreat in the 1820s.
For much of the 20th century, Bluffton remained a small village, but its population exploded in the 21st century. It’s January 2026, and a lot is changing in Bluffton as the arts, dining and cultural scene continue to thrive. Below is what’s new in Old Town Bluffton and beyond.
