The Bluffton Sunset Party Series continues with the upcoming May River Shrimp Festival, a lively two-day event on July 24-25.
This festival celebrates Bluffton’s rich fishing heritage, featuring activities centered around seafood, health & fitness, and live music.
Thursday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m.: Sunset 5K – Hawaiian Shirt Run:
Kick off the festivities with the Sunset 5K Hawaiian Shirt Run! Starting and finishing at Oyster Factory Park, the route takes participants through the charming streets of historic Old Town Bluffton.
The event is perfect for both runners and walkers. Come dressed in your brightest Hawaiian shirt or shorts—prizes will be awarded for the most colorful outfits! All participants will receive a themed T-shirt, lei and refreshments during our lively Post-Race Celebration. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome. Register at www.bearfootsports.com.
Friday, July 25, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.: The Shrimp Festival Sunset Party
Join us at Oyster Factory Park for the main celebration featuring live performances by Cristaldi & Stiltner and Vanna & The Rump Shakers. Enjoy a festive atmosphere with local seafood, food trucks, craft beers, boutique wines, and family-friendly fun. Kids and leashed pets are welcome.
Tickets are $11 in advance, $15 at the door, with children under 12 free. Group discounts are available online. All tips collected from beer and wine sales support local charities.
