Town of Bluffton’s Independence Day Celebration:
On July 2nd, the Town of Bluffton is hosting its inaugural Independence Day Celebration. The celebration will begin with a pre-party at the Martin Family and DuBois Parks and the firework show will begin shortly after 9 p.m. The pre- party offers musical talent performed by the Lowcountry Boil Bluegrass Band and Jevon Daly, carnival games and concessions. The fireworks display can be viewed from the Oyster Factory and Wright Family Parks.
Hilton Head Firecracker 5K:
Get ready for a cracking time as we celebrate Independence Day and 36 years of running at the Hilton Head Firecracker 5K on July 4, 2022! As the largest and oldest race in Beaufort County, this family-friendly run, walk and BBQ is the perfect way to kick America’s birthday off with a bang.
Starting in beautiful Jarvis Creek Park, you’ll experience a scenic tour of Hilton Head Island, complete with waterfront views and southern charm. In its 33rd year, HarbourFest’s nightly celebration takes over Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina with fireworks, spinning hats, carnival games, face painting, music and more. Enjoy the very popular entertainment of Shannon Tanner and Cappy the Clown. Tuesday nights hold all the flair with fireworks when the sky is dark, plus a holiday show on Monday, July 4. (No show Tuesday, July 5). Harbour Town Fourth of July Parade:
Show off your red, white and blue spirit by decorating your bicycle, wagon, dog or kids for a fun-filled Fourth of July parade around Harbour Town. Register at 8:30 a.m and pick up decorating supplies. Salute from the Shore:
Salute from the Shore is a unique opportunity to salute our armed forces, while celebrating Independence Day on our beaches. A military flyover will stretch the entire length of South Carolina’s coast, to include military planes and vintage aircrafts. The fighter jets should arrive 1:30 p.m., followed by vintage military planes around 1:45 p.m. www.salutefromtheshore.org.
