On Thursday, May 4, 2017, Whetherman will perform with Lulu the Giant at The Roasting Room, above The Corner Perk, from 8-11 p.m.
Whetherman is the moniker of 32 year-old independent folk singer-songwriter Nicholas Williams, who has released seven full-length albums of “Sunny, soulful folk music that is irresistible” (Indie Music Reviewer) since 2007, most recently his first live album: Whetherman Live at Blue Jay Listening Room released in June of 2016. A finalist for the 2015 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase, Williams also received praise from BBC Radio of his latest release Seeds for Harvest as “Completely beautiful. An absolute delight to the ears.” His earnest and poetic lyrics accompany timeless, soulful vocals alongside a percussive acoustic guitar technique and rolling harmonica, creating a rustic Americana sound all his own.
Tickets are $10. For more information about Whetherman and Lulu the Giant’s performances at the Roasting Room, call (843) 368-4464, email roastingroom@gmail.com or go to roastingroomlounge.com.
