October 4: First Presbyterian Church Hilton Head Island will present Welsh Revival, a dynamic Celtic band featuring fiery traditional and contemporary Irish fiddling, flutes, percussion, keyboards, vocals and dancing, in a free concert at 6:30 p.m. This all-female group from the University of Mobile, AL is one of the more unique university music ensembles in the United States today. Their music has delighted audiences of all ages throughout the Southeast.
Welsh Revival has a unique and energetic sound with a special influence behind the name. Welsh Revival’s influences date back to over a century ago in Wales. Wales experienced the last National Religious Revival, a revival that brought in 100,000 new converts according to the estimates of the time, and a movement that quickly spread around the world.
