The Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA)’s 2020 Summer Art Camp for kids has had a schedule change in light of the coronavirus. The art camp runs from 9-11 a.m. Monday-Friday July 13-17 for ages 6-9 and July 20-24 for ages 10-12. The camp will take place at SOBA’s Center for Creative Arts, located next door to the gallery in Old Town Bluffton.
The cost is $100 per child per week. Organizers are taking precautions in light of the coronavirus, limiting the classes to 10 students. Each student will have their own work station. Please have children wear old clothing suitable for painting. Please do not send children with food. Drinks only. The tuition cost includes all materials.
Each week will feature different art activities that will ignite children’s creativity. Children will explore different artistic techniques while having fun. The instructor is artist Mary Burrell, a member of SOBA and the National Association of Women Artists. Additionally, Burrell teaches arts and crafts to preschoolers, aftercare and camp children at Cross Schools in Bluffton.
