SOBA Art Classes for Kids

• Dates: June 27, July 11, August 1, August 8, Aug 29
• Time: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM (90 minutes)
• Open to Ages/Grade Levels: 11+, Middle through High school
• $175 for the series; SAVE $25 with Early Bird Registration! Just $150/series when registered by June 14th
• Deadline to cancel registrations & issue refunds is two weeks prior to the scheduled class. No refunds or credits are issued after that time.

Join us for our SOBA Teens + Tweens Art Club where artists ages 11+ explore 2D and 3D artmaking, combining an open studio approach with guided projects to allow for exploration, skill development, and pursuing personal areas of interest in our inspiring Art School environment. It’s Summertime and the livin’ is easy… so we’ve added even more time for creativity with longer 90-minute sessions!

Art Club participants experience the benefits of cultivating imagination and self-expression as they bring their visions to life – developing artistic techniques, exercising focused attention, social-emotional learning, and making new friends while cultivating their personal style and artistic interests. Artists will also have the opportunity to reflect on their artmaking processes and share their work, if desired, fostering self-assessment and presentation skills. Interested students may also receive guidance for portfolio development and pathways in high school, college, and career by your Art Club guide and Art professor, Dr. Samadhi Banks.

All supplies included, including a basic sketchbook for ongoing work. Students may wish to bring a personal sketchbook and any favorite personal supplies. Drop off only.

• Open to Grade Level/Ages: Rising 2nd graders – 6th graders, ages 6.5-11

Join us for our SOBA Kids Art Club where young artists will explore 2D and 3D artmaking, with guided projects ranging from drawing and painting to sculpture and more fine arts mediums in our fun and inspiring Art School environment. It’s Summertime and the livin’ is easy… so we’ve added even more time for creativity with longer 75-minute sessions!

Art Club participants experience the benefits of cultivating imagination and self-expression as they bring their visions to life – acquiring art skills, exercising focused attention, fine motor development, social-emotional learning, and making STEM connections, all surrounded by new friends! Artists will also have the opportunity to reflect on their artmaking processes and share their work, if desired, fostering self-assessment and presentation skills.
