The Society of Bluffton Artists will be showing the unique wood art of local artist Nicholas Di Mona throughout the month of August at its gallery in Old Town Bluffton. It’s a great way to showcase some of the amazing 3D creativity in this artistic community.
Every piece Di Mona creates is one-of-a-kind. He lets the natural characteristics of the wood — which he collects from fallen trees — determine what he will create. Bowls, vases, sculptures and other eye-catching pieces will be part of Di Mona’s “Wonderful World of Wood” exhibit, which will be on display August 2-31. The wood-turning artist will be hosting a free opening reception at the gallery from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, August 7. www.sobagallery.com.
