October 27: World-renowned guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli has been hailed by the Boston Globe for “reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz.” One of today’s top jazz guitarists and vocalists, his multi-faceted career has teamed him with Rosemary Clooney, James Taylor, George Shearing and Sir Paul McCartney. Pizzarelli has expanded his Great American Songbook repertoire by including the music of Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Antônio Carlos Jobim and the Beatles. The Toronto Star pegged him as “the genial genius of the guitar.” There is no limit to Pizzarelli’s imagination or talent, and his flair for tasteful, inventive song arrangements, regardless of musical genre, is second to none. 8 p.m. Suited for all ages.
