August 26: Historic Bluffton Lecture & Dinner Series, Stories in Stone: Preservation and Management of Historic Cemeteries with Sabrinna L. Cox. Cemeteries are home to countless stories written in the stones placed to
memorialize past lives. There are many facets to consider in the conservation of cemeteries such as documentation, repair and cleaning of headstones and where responsibility lies. With the right approach and community support, the
narratives captured in time can continue into the future. 6 p.m., at the Historic Campbell Chapel, 23 Boundary St. Lectures are free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated. Proceeds go towards the restoration of the Historic Campbell Chapel. Dinner is $35 per person. Visit he Facebook page: historic bluffton lecture and dinner series for more information.
