Born on August 28, 1971, GwenYvette can be described in one word Soulful. Strong comparisons in voice and delivery are often made with R&B/Soul greats such as Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight. GwenYvette was born in New York and raised on St. Helena Island, a small sea island on the coast of South Carolina. Her native soulful delivery and beautiful voice have inspired the Rebirth of Soul movement which recently has sparked the resurgence of classic R&B/Soul music.
