Friday, August 2, 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm: First Friday for Folk Music, Savannah Folk Music Society, First Presbyterian Church Stewart Hall, 520 Washington Avenue, Savannah, GA, 31405, $10 ($5 members) donation at door. Join us for an evening of acoustic music. Tonight’s performance features two sessions by “String Envy” – The string trio of Jonita Aadland (fiddle), Victoria Schultz (harp), and Craig Thomas (viola de gamba). Jonita brings two of her close friends from Orlando, Florida for an evening of world music focusing on fiddle traditions.
First Friday for Folk Music offers a fantastic music listening experience: live acoustic music by local and traveling artists, low admission fee, alcohol free, non-smoking, secular event, and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
