December 9: AUTHORS UNDER THE LIVE OAKS (TOYS FOR TOTS – Visit with Santa!) Free community event! Join us for a day of authors, books, signings, artisans, food, wine, tour the 1800’s plantation house with its mini-museum, gift shop & picnic area. 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Frampton Plantation is the site of the Battle of Pocotaligo (1862). Some of the breastworks still remain, so, please tour the plantation grounds. Kid & pet friendly. 250-year old live oaks surround the property creating a beautiful backdrop for a wonderful event. Meet authors from across the South Carolina Lowcountry: Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and more. The event will be held in conjunction with Frampton Plantation’s annual Toys for Tots event. Visit with Santa Clause from 12-1 p.m. Other attractions include The Charles Towne Few Pirates, Cappy the Clown, kids bouncy house, Marines from the USMC Air Station from Beaufort, and more.
