May 2: Art and Environment After Hours! A Day at the Beach, presenter Dawn Brut and Revecca Shannon – $15 per person. Explore the beach…without actually going to the beach. Discover the wide variety of fascinating critters that you can find on the beach. Learn about what lives in those beautiful shells you find. Investigate the lives of beach visitors like sea turtles and horseshoe crabs. Discuss the importance of the beach habitat and how you can protect our local beaches. All participants will receive a picture frame to decorate with your own beach treasures. Bring your own beach treasures to use…other decorating supplies will be provided by the Museum. Participants should bring their own shells, etc. if possible. The museum has a limited supply of shells. Frames and other materials will be provided.
5-7 p.m. Appropriate for ages 10 and older (unless otherwise noted in the schedule). Minimum of 6 participants, maximum of 20 for all programs. Only registered paid participants will be admitted into this program. If participants are planning to bring a child, chaperone, spouse, driver, etc. they must also register. At least one adult must accompany each group.
