Shop Local at the Coastal Discovery Museum’s Annual Holiday Sale and Farmer’s Market on November 21st, 2023
Inside the museum a food tasting will be held with products from local food providers like Charleston Tea, Lowcountry Produce, Marsh Hen Mill and We Island Gumbo.
Also featured will be an Adopt-A-Nest table where you can adopt a sea turtle nest for the upcoming sea turtle nesting season. You can meet the head of our program, Terri Johnson along with her “Man on the Beach”.
Local authors will on hand to autograph their books. Local artists will also display their unique creations including sweet grass baskets and necklaces from Michael Smalls and Dino Badger.
There will be plenty of unique ornaments and gift items for sale. For example, we will have oyster knives and kits from Toadfish Outfitters, who are committed to cleaning coastal waterways by replenishing oyster beds with the profits of their products. Also, 4Ocean bracelets whose company pulls 5 pounds of trash out of the ocean with each product sale. Non-consignment items will be 10% off.
Outside the farmer’s market will have fresh produce, hot sauce, salsa and gift items from local vendors.
