“We Invite You To Come And Enjoy!”
The Gullah Reunion Festival is a four day fun-filled festival of art, food, music, storytelling, cultural demonstrations and more. An annual cultural heritage event celebrating an American cultural treasure, the Gullah Geechee Culture! A family friendly festival set in the picturesque town of Bluffton, South Carolina,’
Bluffton is touted as, ‘The Heart Of The Lowcountry.’ Just minutes from Hilton Head Island, right on the banks of the May River. This quaint town is filled with gorgeous antebellum homes, historic churches and all kinds of artisan shops and wonderful restaurants, It was named #1 for Amazing Non-Beach Getaways by the Huffington Post. It is a Historic Cultural Arts District that is now perfect backdrop of gorgeous oak trees draped in spanish moss and scenic views, bringing together people from all walks of life, in the spirit love, hope, and healing.
The Gullah Reunion Festival transcends many families across the nation because of the high percentage of all African American’s ability to trace their roots back to South Carolina, We created this festival to help preserve and promote the Gullah culture, as well as stimulate economic growth within this endangered community. Our hopes are to help people connect thousands of people back to their Gullah Geechee family, their ancestral roots, and/or to provide a cultural event for people who just simply love, and enjoy the Gullah culture.
